The Estevan Apex midget AA Bruins continued their early season success by winning three times in league play over a five-day span. The Bruins defeated the Lumsden-Bethune Lions 7-3 on Oct. 19 and the Regina Vics 5-1 the following day.

The Estevan Comprehensive School (ECS) Elecs football team wrapped up the 2019 regular season with a 55-26 loss to the Swift Current Colts Friday in Swift Current. Coach Mark Schott said the Elecs had a tough start, and they never recovered.

It was a tough weekend for the Estevan Bruins, as they dropped a pair of games on home ice. The Bruins lost 5-4 to the Melfort Mustangs on Friday night and 5-1 to the Kindersley Klippers on Saturday.
