Members of the St. Michael School running club end their season, after competing at districts. The St. Michael School running club had trained for four weeks in preparation for the district competition held in Carnduff on Oct. 2.

The Bantam AA CP Wings have started their hockey season, and with each new season there are always changes.

The Weyburn Gold Wings played two games over the weekend against the Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats, with a 2-0 win on Saturday, October 5 and a 2-1 shoot out loss on Sunday, October 6.

The Weyburn Red Wings faced the Notre Dame Hounds and the Yorkton Terriers over the weekend, with a 3-2 win over the Hounds and dropping 5-3 to the Terriers. Friday, October 4, the Wings had a good first period scoring two goals.

Considering they played their first five games on the road, the Estevan TS&M Bruins are more than happy with their 4-1 start to the regular season.

An already deep forward group got a shot in the arm last week. The Estevan Bruins acquired right winger Austin Roesslein from the Weyburn Red Wings on Wednesday for futures.

The Estevan Sherritt Coal Bruins started on the right foot on Saturday, as the peewee AA team doubled up the Moose Jaw Warriors 4-2 in their season opener.

The Estevan Lions Club Steelers got on the board three times in their final regular season game, but it wasn't enough to pull out a win. The bantam football squad closed out their year with a 28-19 road loss to the Balgonie Griffins on Sunday.

The President's Cup was a breakout performance for Graham DeLaet. He had a brilliant President's Cup debut, which included not one, but two hole-outs at the final hole.

Saturday marked another chapter in the long line of intense matches between the Estevan and Oxbow senior boys volleyball programs.
