The Weyburn Gold Wings got off to a rough start in the Morden tournament over the weekend dropping their first game 7-1 to Pembina. "The first game was rough," said coach Chad Kish. "We just couldn't score.

Graham DeLaet has had a very successful season on the PGA Tour finishing 8th in the FedEx Cup and representing Canada at the Presidents Cup where he finished 3-1-1.

The Weyburn Red Wings took their game on the road last week for three games in Melfort, La Ronge and Flin Flon. Their road trip started off with a 3-2 win over the Melfort Mustangs on Wednesday, October 9.

The Estevan Comprehensive School Elecs knew they were in tough on Thursday, but they probably didn't expect to surrender 55 points in the first half.

Although they weren't exactly facing the toughest competition, the Estevan Apex Bruins are satisfied with taking three of four points on their opening weekend of the season.
