On January 24, the Weyburn Police Service received a report that a vehicle had been involved in a collision and the driver had left the scene.

Sun Country Health Region (SCHR) has announced changes to laboratory and x-ray hours at the Bengough and Pangman Health Centres. Effective Wednesday, February 4, 2015, these two departments will have revised hours of operation.

After a year of adventure across the continent, Belle Plaine is returning to the Prairies, and will be performing at the Tommy Douglas Centre on February 4.

The Weyburn Skating Club is looking for volunteers who are willing to assist the weekend of February 27, 28 and March 1. The club was successful in their bid to host the provincial Jean Norman, STARSkate competition.

The Weyburn Southern Range Gold Wings Female Midget AAA hockey team has been nominated as a finalist in the team category of the 2014 Sask. Sport Inc. awards.

I typically plan for my column a few days before the official due date, but every once in awhile, something causes me to delay. Rather than refer to it as procrastination, I like to think of it as something better is on its way.

Weyburn Comprehensive School has announced the students of the month for December 2014.

Just a reminder that there will be a grad/parent meeting at 7:00 p.m. on January 26 in the Cugnet Centre. All grads, along with at least one parent, are asked to attend to find out what is proposed for this year's grad and volunteer to help.

The results of the Senior Centre's activities from January 9 to January 15 were: Bridge: (Friday) First John Whitell, second Joyce Hemphill and third Harry Schiller.

On January 19, the Weyburn Police Service were called to a residence to remove an unruly resident. Upon arrival, the police found a 20 year-old female to be under the influence of narcotics.
