Nine of the Weyburn Comp Eagles wrestling team competed at the O'Neil High School wrestling tournament in Regina on February 6 and 7. Five of the wrestlers placed in the tournament.

The Weyburn Red Wings had a busy weekend February 6 and 7. In addition to playing games on both Friday and Saturday evening, the team hosted celebrations each night. On February 6, the Wings played host to the Humboldt Broncos.

Police remind residents to lock vehicles

On January 31, the Weyburn Police Service received a report of a sexual assault against a 24 year-old female. A 46 year-old male is currently under investigation for this offence. The victim and suspect were known to each other.

Two local hotels recognized

Two local hotels are the recipients of the Employer of Choice Award. The Weyburn Ramada and Canalta hotels were both recipients of the 2015 award which sees 25 organizations across the province designated with this award.
