The 5th Annual Weyburn Campaign to End Duchenne will take place on Saturday, May 3 at Assiniboia Park Elementary School. Registration takes place at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 9:30 a.m.

Curves International, Inc., the largest chain of fitness centers for women in the world, has announced that the 2014 Curves Food Drive will take place from March 10 through March 23 at participating Curves Clubs across the U.S. and Canada.

Municipal taxes will be increased in 2014 as Weyburn City Council passed the 2014 operating budget on March 10. The base tax will increase 3.

The senior boys' basketball team won both games at regionals and will advance to Hoopla this weekend in Regina. Their first game is Friday at 8 p.m. against Prince Albert St. Mary's at F.W. Johnson.
