With deep sadness and a heavy heart, the family of Rodger Sobush, announce his passing suddenly on June 3, 2012 in Edson, Alberta. Rodger was 56 years old.

The Relay for Life took place in Weyburn on June 1 and 2, to raise money for cancer research and prevention awareness.

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of May 27 to June 3: During the reporting period, police responded to 145 calls for service. *On June 3, police received a complaint of mischief done to a property.

Weyburn taxpayers will not be dreading a tax increase, thanks to a unanimous vote at a City Council meeting on May 28. Council approved a zero per cent change in millrates for the coming year.
