Singer Rory Allen paid tribute to the King of Rock-n-Roll, the late Elvis Presley, as he sang Elvis songs on a special train put on by the Southern Prairie Railway train tour out of Ogema on Friday evening.

Fillmore RCMP are investigating a number of break and enters, theft from vehicles, and theft of motor vehicles from the community of Sedley and area.

Eli Citron and Mendel Super, both rabbinical students, stopped in Weyburn on Wednesday as part of a province-wide tour of communities to visit Jewish residents and to provide support and encouragement to them.

Liona Crippen read her book to Loretta Schmidt, while children from the Summer Success Literacy camp visited the residents at the Hill Top Manor on Thursday.

This is part of the lineup of classic and vintage cars and trucks on display at Knight Dodge in Weyburn for the Mopar car and truck show. Located just off First Avenue and 16th Street, the show is on until 4 p.m.

Mayor Carol Peterson and Weyburn-Big Muddy MLA Dustin Duncan had a look at the new water reservoir currently under construction for the Town of Ogema, after doing a sod-turning ceremony on Friday afternoon.

Representatives of the Weyburn Police Association, Sgt. Hugh Gilchrist and Const. Jake Sonnenberg, presented pet food to the Weyburn Humane Society for use at the animal shelter. Accepting the donation was shelter staff Lisa Webb and Colleen Morrice.
