The Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame, Battleford, will be celebrating the 35 th Annual Induction, Saturday, August 17, 2019, in Battleford. We are proud to announce that Ferguson “FERGIE” Jenkins will be our special guest speaker.

Brayden King was able to spend the past 11 months in Belgium, as part of the Rotary’s Student Exchange program.

Zach Olson, from Weyburn, has been playing for Team Saskatchewan, the U16 provincial basketball team, this season. The team had training sessions in Regina and Saskatoon on the weekends throughout June/July.

Noah Kopec from the Weyburn AAA 13U Element Beavers team, made the final cut to play with the Sask Selects in the U13 National Championship in Quebec later this month.

The Weyburn Beavers played their final regular season game at home Tuesday night against the Melville Millionaires. No matter the outcome of the game, the Beavers were going to playoffs and the Millionaires were not, so there wasn’t much on the line.

A trip to Ottawa for Weyburn student Arliss Sidloski was an eye-opening experience, she told the members of the Weyburn Rotary Club on Thursday.

As part of their Entrepreneurship class at Weyburn Comprehensive High School this year, Taylor Cameron, Lorynn Labbie and Landon Field had to work with their classmates to create a product selling business.

The highly anticipated Wheat Festival is just around the corner running from August 9-11. The three day event has contests, performances and activities spread out all across Weyburn. From 11 a.m. - 8p.m.

Actress Trenna Keating was inducted to the Weyburn Walk of Fame on June 15th, however, Trenna was unable to attend the induction ceremony due to her filming schedule. Her sister, Tara Keating, accepted it on her behalf at that time.

Nickle Lake Regional Park hosted a Summer Party event filled with activities, treats and shows on August 3rd. With the plus 30 heat, the beach was inevitably packed, but the party also continued at other parts of the park.
