Weyburn Review

A group of Canadian youth watched as international youth took part in a team grooming competition on Thursday, held as part of the Canadian Junior Charolais show hosted by Weyburn at the Ag Society barn.

Residents and travellers through the City of Weyburn once again had access via Government Road/Highway 35 on Friday morning, as the paving of the road was completed a week ahead of schedule.

A burst of nature's fireworks exploded in the skies over Weyburn on Wednesday night, as a very active thunderstorm rolled quickly through the city and area late in the evening.

A Weyburn police officer, Const. Melinda Mintenko, will be receiving a national award for developing the concept for the “Ride’s On Us” program.

The City of Weyburn’s traffic bylaw came back to council on Monday night with a list of changes, including two “contentious” items, to raise the speed on Railway Avenue to 50 km an hour, and to change the hours the school zone is in effect.

The Weyburn Beavers were in Moose Jaw Tuesday night facing the Miller Express and things did not go according to plan.

Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and torrential rain. Large hail can damage property and cause injury.
