Around 8,000 golf balls dropped from a bucket suspended by a crane at the Woodlawn Golf Course in Estevan on Saturday evening, with three winners determined from the balls that went into the hole, all from Weyburn.

By Greg Nikkel Weyburn city council dealt with requests from a couple of different companies as they seek to grow or to expand their operations in the city, with rezoning requests made in relation to a couple of properties.

The Wheatland Seniors Centre will hold activities to mark Seniors Week, which will be held from Sept. 30 to Oct. 6. There will be silent auction items displayed at the centre for the full week, with a pancake breakfast to be held on Sunday, Sept.

Weyburn Chamber of Commerce members were given an update about the facilities and services at the Regina International Airport, or YQR as its abbreviation is known, along with plans for upcoming improvements for the airport.
