Weyburn Police Service received a report of two parked vehicles being entered and rummaged through overnight on Dec. 11. Nothing was reported stolen.

Former Weyburn resident and NFL player Brett Jones provided a Christmas supper to community members through the Salvation Army on Monday evening, served to 110 people at the Captain’s Hall.

The staff of the Weyburn Comprehensive School named the following as Students of the Month for November and December.

Singer Terri Clark sang her version of the Linda Ronstadt song, “Poor Poor Pitiful Me” as part of her set on the stage car of the CP Holiday Train, during the Weyburn stop on Friday evening along the CP Rail yard.

Country singer Dallas Smith performed a couple of his own songs along with some Christmas tunes, during the Weyburn stop for the CP Holiday Train on Friday night by the CP Rail yard.

Singer Kelly Prescott sang “Rockin’ Round the Christmas Tree” as part of her opening performance on the CP Holiday Train on Friday evening in Weyburn.

The Weyburn 4-H Beef Club had its organization meeting on October 26. The club has 40 members registered this year. Daniel Fellner was elected president and Rylan Knupp was elected vice president.

A concert featuring the grandchildren of two country music legends, Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn, will be held in Weyburn on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, at the Cugnet Centre.

The Johnson family is again making plans to put on the JAMS Family Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day at the Knox Hall.

Former Weyburn resident James Hill was named as Canada’s Ambassador to the Republic of Costa Rica, Republic of Nicaragua and Republic of Honduras, replacing Michael Gort.
