Taryn Phaneuf named first game star Saturday night

Yorkton Harvest goalie Taryn Phaneuf who backstopped the Harvest to their first win of the current regular season, was named first game star Saturday night in the game between the Yorkton Harvest and the visiting Saskatoon Contacts.

The Sacred Heart Junior Saints Football Team improved their season with a 54-28 win over the Esterhazy Warriors in a game played in Churchbridge. The Junior Saints lead 14-7 after the 1st, 22-7 at the half and 38-21 after the 3rd.

It's back for another exciting year. The annual Grain Millers Harvest Showdown event has been slated for November 2 to the 5th.
