I am very much not a fan of scary things. I am one of those people who only needs a glimpse of a horror film’s trailer to conjure up all sorts of ghosts and goblins to haunt my dreams.

An exciting week was had by Canora Junior Elementary School staff and students in order to celebrate Education Week.

At the September 28 meeting of the Sunrise Regional Health Authority, it was announced that the Ministry of Health has officially appointed Don Rae as chairperson and Dave Schappert as vice-chairperson of the Sunrise Regional Health Authority.

The Canora Composite School’s senior girls volleyball team has been having a strong season in preparation for its home tournament, which will be held on October 28 and 29.

Canora Composite School’s cross-country team closed an amazing season by not only competing in its first district team competition, but by winning third place.

For the first time in a few years, the Canora Composite School has gotten together a senior boys volleyball team which was to play a home game against Kamsack Comprehensive Institute on October 17.

The Canora Junior Elementary School had a successful season, according to coach Rod Steciuk.
