Students of the Month The Canora Composite School’s Students of the Month for February were presented with their certificates by Chelsea Rock of the Crossroads Credit Union last week.

A website called flightnetwork has named Canora as one of the top 50 small towns to visit in Canada. Shereen Mohammed, who authors a blog on the site, said she spent “a few days in Canora last summer and really enjoyed my time there.

The disc golf tournament scheduled for Springside on May 29 will be recognized as one of the tournaments in the North American Vibram Birdie Bash series of tournaments this summer.

The Norquay Seniors' Bonspiel, which was held February 22 to 26, had a total of 29 rinks entered, which was said to have been the most the event has ever attracted. The games were each six ends, with points given for each win, tie or loss.

The Bob Kolodziejski rink of Canora, with John Zbitniff, Terry Wilson and Robin Ludba, won both bonspiels held in Buchanan in February.

Despite the snow, there were many ball games played in the Canora Sno-Pitch Tournament on Saturday.
