Land gets final rezoning

The City of Yorkton has rezoned lands surrounding the Tourism/Chamber of Commerce building east of Highway 9 South and north of Highway 16 East for commercial development.

Service clubs recognized

Yorkton Council designated events marking the efforts of two long-time service clubs at their regular meeting Monday. Rotary Day was designated for Feb. 23, while Kinsmen and Kinette Day will be Feb. 21, as part of Kinsmen and Kinette Week Feb.

Arrest made in thefts from vehicles

On February 8, 2012, the Yorkton Municipal RCMP responded to several complaints from the night before of vehicles being broken into and items being stolen and scattered around inside.
