The Kamsack Comprehensive Institute senior drama club will be staging “a comedy with a heart” in a dinner theatre next week.

Within about three weeks a form officially entering Kamsack into the 2017 Communities in Bloom competition will have been submitted, obligating residents to once again do what they can to impress themselves and visitors about the physical appearance

A suspicious death was discovered at Cote First Nation on Monday. At 12:47 a.m. on March 20, Kamsack RCMP responded to a complaint of an injured male at a residence on the Cote First Nation, said a release from the RCMP.

Canora and Kamsack residents are being invited to a symposium being held in Canora next week to explore ways to create a healthy, active community and develop realistic local strategies to get more youths and their families more active more often.

Two students of the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute are among the group of 25 non-Alberta residents to be awarded University of Alberta scholarships of $30,000 each.

It looks as though Kamsack’s Town Office is going to stay as it is, at least for the next while. Town council, realizing that the existing office does not met current accessibility and building codes, had decided to look into renovations.

Norquay School’s junior drama club will be performing the musical Beauty and the Beast on April 6 at at the Norquay Covenant Church.

While the many piles of snow were still being removed from Kamsack streets and properties last week, praise was still being heaped on the equipment operators who had worked long hours during and after the blizzard of March 6, 7 and 8.
