Kennedy Kosheluk of Preeceville is a step closer to attaining her dream of becoming a professional pianist. She was recently accepted into the Department of Music program at the University of Saskatchewan.

The Town of Preeceville is initiating a planning review project to adopt a new official community plan and a new zoning bylaw to “better guide development within our community,” said Lorelei Karcha, administrator.

March 26 to April 1 will be Gender Diversity Week in the city. At its regular council meeting March 13, Council heard a presentation by Laura Budd, education coordinator for the Saskatchewan Pride Network.

City Council has begun the process of decreasing the parking space requirements for theatre and retail businesses.

The City has a new Cemetery Bylaw. Owing to the recent expansion of the Yorkton City Cemetery the Community Development, Parks and Recreation (CDPR) Department undertook a complete review of the existing bylaw.

The Outlook town council met for a scheduled meeting in council chambers on Wednesday night, March 8.
