The Family Resource Centre was designed to help provide what the community needs. It has taken a long time to build up and has become very rewarding, said Karolyn Kosheluk.

Yorkton Council found out at its regular meeting Monday that the City’s 2016 budget is running significantly in the red. And the deficit is being clearly blamed on Saskatchewan Municipal Board decisions.

Flooding remains a definite concern in the city in spite of millions being invested. More work needs to be done René Richard, Director of Engineering and Asset Management with the City told the regular meeting of Yorkton Council Monday.

City Administration was suggesting an immediate raise for the City’s Out-of-Scope employees. But Yorkton Council weren’t ready to rubber stamp the raises until such time the City has a new deal with its Canadian Union of Public Employees members.
