CALDER - Poker derby this weekend

Well, February has been a busy month for the Calder School Students and Staff. First off, all the students and staff and family members motored down to Asessippi Ski Hill for a fun day of tubing, skiing, and snowboarding.

Leo Patrice Tremblay, born March 1, 1918 in the Qu'appelle Valley South of Dubuc, the sixth of nine children, passed away Nov. 26, 2012 in Smithers, BC. Leo grew up on a farm and attended a one-room school house.

A lovely "carols and candles" Interdenominational Community Christmas service was held in the Dubuc Worship Centre on the evening of Sat., Dec. 22. Rev. Walter Farquarson of Saltcoats was the worship leader.
