The Yorkton Terriers spent last weekend on the road to La Ronge after a roller coaster of a week for the club. The road trip saw the Terriers face off twice against the La Ronge Ice Wolves. Both games ended in favour of the Ice Wolves.

Team kicked off SVHL season November 3 & 4

The Yorkton Regional High School Raiders football team is off to the provincial championship. A very close semi-final game last Saturday saw the Raiders come out victorious over the Greenall Griffins in Regina. The score was 24-22.

Halloween is a time for ghosts and goblins and children going door-to-door for candy but for Andrew Wasylenchuk of Sturgis it has always meant more.

Last weekend, CrossFit competitors from all over Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta and Ontario gathered in Yorkton for the third annual Highway 9 Throwdown at CrossFit Function.

The Yorkton Regional High School Raider boys’ soccer team competed in the SHSAA 3A provincial tournament hosted by Balgonie this past weekend.

The Sacred Heart High School Saints boys’ soccer team walked away from their provincial 2A tournament with bronze medals last weekend. The tournament was hosted in Yorkton because of the Saints’ gold medal win at last year’s provincials.

Jordin Rusnack is one of the key pieces of the Yorkton Regional High School Raiders football team that won the Moose Jaw High School Football League championship last weekend.

On Tuesday morning, the Yorkton Terriers Junior A Hockey Club announced the “termination of contract with Casey O’Brien as general manager and head coach of the team effective October 31, 2017.
