The Parkland Expos midget ‘AAA’ baseball team wrapped up their inaugural SPBL ‘AAA’ division campaign this past week going 2-4 over a six game stretch that saw the Expos’ record fall to 8-22.

The Yorkton Cardinals spent last week in Alberta, emerging from the rough six-game road swing with a pair of wins.

Six Yorkton and area golfers are competing in the 2015 Saskatchewan Junior Men’s and Women’s Provincial Golf Championships at Yorkton’s Deer Park Municipal Golf Course this week.

It’s been a tough season for the Parkland Expos ‘AAA’ baseball team in their first go-around at the ‘AAA’ level as the team has struggled at times with offence, defence and pitching.

A group of local slo-pitch players will be heading to Kamloops, B.C., next week to compete at the 2015 Kamloops National Championship slo-pitch tournament.

The City of Yorkton was invaded by roaring, scream inducing monsters this past weekend. However they weren’t your usual monsters.

Chuckwagon and chariot races were the highlight of the Preeceville Lions Club Western Weekend on July 10 to 12. The races were threatened by a few rain clouds but avid fans waited through the rain to watch the races.
