The Alexander's Mens Wear Junior Cardinals made one last appearance in the South East Senior Baseball League action when they hosted the Willowbrook Royals.

The Yankees faced off against the Melville Bison in the first round of the South East Senior Baseball League (SESBL) playoffs. The Yankees placed fourth in league standings and drew the fifth place Bisons and home advantage.

The Yorkton Speed Swim Club recently wrapped up their season by holding their awards dinner. The club presented five awards to very deserving young swimmers at the supper.

Yorkton speed swimmer Jennifer Haczkewicz, 11, just returned from the biggest competition of her racing career. She swam at the ManSask Long Course Championships in Winnipeg, MB. The five- day swim meet ran from July 7-11.
