It is with sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Elizabeth Elsie Adie. Elizabeth passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. She was 97 years of age.

The Yorkton UCT Terriers bantam hockey team hosted the Battlefords Barons Saturday at the Farrell Agencies Arena. Yorkton jumped out to a 2-1 lead after one period of play on goals by Branden Pelechaty and Rylan Jasper.

Between November 17, 2010 and October 19, 2011, 80 pieces of steel cladding were stolen from a building site on 5th Avenue North. The missing material is described as white in color and weighs about 2,000 lbs.

Terriers in a tie for second place

Terriers in a tie for second place

With only one win in three tries this week the Yorkton Terriers are now in a second place tie with Estevan in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's Sherwood Conference. Both teams have 47 points, the Terrier's based on a record of 22-18-1-2.

Lady Raiders win over Lady Saints

The Lady Raiders basketball team started off the new year with a convincing 68-41 home victory over Manitoba (Roblin).
