The Yorkton Storm Swim Club returned home from a recent meet in Moose Jaw with a record medal haul according to coach Ashley Benko.

Canada Day weekend celebrations were in full swing at the Saltcoats District Regional Park for the 123rd consecutive year. The event has had a strong sports emphasis since it's emergence in 1888.

On the day a wedding was scheduled for our church, I thought of the eggs. A killdeer had laid four of them dead centre in the gravel parking lot. A slight hollow sheltered them not at all, though their speckled coloring camouflaged them well.

The Yorkton Terriers managed to turn a modest profit over the 2010-11 season. Gerry Smysnuik, with Parker Quine Chartered Accountants in Yorkton told the annual general meeting of the Yorkton Terrier Junior Hockey Booster Club Inc.
