For the sixth year the Yorkton Film Festival is taking Canadian short film to communities across the country via its Golden Sheaf Awards (GSA) tours.

The Good Spirit School Division is introducing a new awards program this fall to recognize students who have made a positive impact on their community.

The Sacred Heart Saints girls soccer team travelled to Prince Albert Sept 9/10 for a tournament hosted by St. Mary High School. The girls won the 'B' side by winning two games and losing one. Their record for the season is 4-1.

In the battle of two teams who were winless going into Saturday's football game, something had to give. With a 32-26 win on home field, the Yorkton Pee Wee Gridders snapped a three-game losing skid.
