The Farrell Agencies Initiation Program (IP) hockey tournament took place over the weekend at the Kinsmen and Farrell Agencies Arenas.

Supported employment month

On the 1st of March, the honorable Rob Norris, Minister of Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration, declared the month of March as Supported Employment Month in the province of Saskatchewan.

Fundraiser hockey

The 25th Annual Student/Teacher Benefit hockey game is scheduled for March 23 (Wed) at 7 p.m., at the Farrell Agencies Arena.

Saskatchewan residents have until April 29, 2011 to nominate provincial employees for the 2011 Premier's Award for Excellence in the Public Service.

XC skiing

There are 6 km of classic cross country ski trails that have been groomed at Deer Park Municipal golf course by volunteers of the Yorkton Cross Country ski club. Trail fees are $10 /season per individual and $15/season per family.

Outdoor rinks

Outdoor skating rinks in Yorkton have been constructed are ready for use weather permitting. The rinks are located at: the Knights of Columbus Park, Heritage Heights, Silver Heights Park, Weinmaster Park, and Appleton Park.
