For the past 10 weeks, 30 Norman Carter students, from Grades 3 to 6, have been working hard, training for a 2.2 kilometre run called Marafun, which is held in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Marathon in Saskatoon.

As a result of another long winter, many producers are low on feed and many will be placing cattle onto early spring pasture. When pastures are grazed too early, the available forages are soon depleted.

The fish eggs are back in Cochin. The hatchery run by the Lost Horse Creek Wildlife Federation is once again in operation and with more eggs than they've had there before.

The Border City Blue Jays are off to a strong start in the NSRBL season, winning their first three games. The Blue Jays opened up the NSRBL season with an 8-6 win over the Midwest Expos May 20.

The Battlefords North Stars will once again host an annual week-long hockey school. The North Stars announced their Future Stars Hockey Camp will operate over five days from Aug. 25 to 29 at the Civic Centre.
