Wednesday, April 9 has been designated Red Cross Day of Pink, a day to celebrate respect and to encourage others to join in the belief that every child should be treated with respect. This means taking a stand against bullying every day.

An individual charged with second-degree murder in connection to an incident on Moosomin First Nation has been released on his own recognizance. Taryn Cote, 19, appeared in Queen's Bench Court in Battleford Thursday afternoon.

A 36-year-old man was treated for stab wounds after an incident at Sandy Beach in the early morning hours Friday, according to Maidstone RCMP. The man was transported to Maidstone Health Complex by EMS.

Add one more store to the growing list of construction projects this year in North Battleford. Home Hardware Building Centre has announced it is renovating its current store so the store will be roughly twice the size it is now.

Some changes are coming to the election procedures on Poundmaker First Nation. Voters on the reserve approved the Poundmaker Cree Band Custom Election Act this past week.
