The Battlefords Photo Club met for their monthly meeting March 4. The evening consisted of "how-to" videos, coffee and doughnuts.

Battlefords members of Rider Nation were in full force at the Civic Centre Saturday afternoon to see Saskatchewan Roughriders hockey? Yes, it was hockey that was the attraction on the weekend.

A number of civic and other officials were in Saskatoon last week as they toured the Lighthouse. The Lighthouse is Saskatoon's supported living, and emergency and affordable housing facility.

The Town of Battleford was meeting with a consulting firm this week about the slope instability issue ongoing at the Battleford cemetery.

The Wilkie Outlaws took a 2-1 NRSHL final series lead over the St. Walburg Eagles with a 5-0 shutout Wednesday night. The Outlaws jumped out a 3-0 lead after the first period.

A harbinger of spring! The second annual Seedy Saturday will be held in the Battlefords this Saturday, put together by local enthusiasts who organized a popular and well-attended event last year.

The Battlefords Art Club had a good turnout Tuesday now that the weather is a little nicer. We discussed our spring show and sale May 2 and 3 and the exhibition at the Chapel Gallery to follow May 6 to 25.
