Battlefords RCMP responded to an unusual number of false/nuisance 911 calls between 6 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 and 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24. Among the more than 40 calls for service/occurrences responded to were nine of those calls.

The Battleford Beaver Blues season hangs in the balance after dropping the first two games of their SPHL semifinal series against the Cut Knife Colts.

Traffic counts submitted by the North Battleford Public Works Department seem to show a common thread. They show that if there is a Tim Hortons nearby, there's plenty of traffic.
