Harvest is still chugging along with great seasonal temperatures aiding the process. And of course the absence of Jack Frost, so far, is also helpful. Delta Co-op has discovered the Riders are coming to their location Oct. 1.

It isn't complete, but the end is in sight for the Battlefords Tribal Council Field House in the CUPlex. Wednesday, city employees held a user meeting and were overwhelmed by the support from local recreation and leisure groups represented.

Much of the talk at Monday's Parks and Recreation meeting at City Hall was about the opening of the Battlefords Co-op Aquatic Centre Saturday. The committee noted there was a tremendous response and outpouring to the new Aquatic Centre.

Dear Editor July 12, 13 and 14, 2013, will bring many former employees of the Saskatchewan Hospital North Battleford, to the Battlefords. The hundreds of employees over these past 100 years, lived in and around the Battlefords, but retired elsewhere.

It is early in the senior volleyball season, but that doesn't mean the volleyball is already at a high level.

I am writing in remembrance of my dad, who passed away Sept. 11, 1993. His birthday was Aug. 15, 1924. He was a champion violin player. I overheard him one time saying he used to play fiddle with Don Messer. He taught me how to play a bit of guitar.

I love travelling and learning about new places. I've always loved living in Saskatchewan and often find myself comparing the places I visit to home.

CHURCHILL - In loving memory of Angelina Delores Churchill. Ange was born January 15, 1942 at Wilkie, Saskatchewan and passed away September 16, 2012 at North Battleford, Saskatchewan.

Vivacious Vivaldi, boisterous Bach, folk songs English and Irish, even some quirky Cuban compositions were on the program for the first concert of season three of Music for the Soul.

It promises to be a busy fall for the Battlefords Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber's all candidates forum for North Battleford's municipal election is tentatively set for Oct. 10. A venue is still to be worked out.
