North Battleford officially kicked off its 2013 centennial celebration this week. They unveiled their logo for the celebration - a blue logo with the North Battleford water tower prominently displayed.

The fundraising campaign for the Credit Union CUPlex received another boost last week with a $50,000 donation. The donation comes from Bill and Eunice Wilson, who are sponsoring the whirlpool in the Battlefords Co-op Aquatic Centre.

Battleford RCMP are seeking assistance in locating an 83 year old female from the Rabbit Lake area. Bernice Carnahan was last seen at approximately 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2012 in Rabbit Lake, but was believed to have come to Battleford.

The late Hank Dornstauder of Vibank will take his place in the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame in a week. Dornstauder was born in 1926, one of 13 children born to Christof and Caroline Dornstauder. His baseball career started on their farm.
