Traffic signals activated in Battleford

The town of Battleford announced that the new traffic signal lights on Highway 4 will be activated this week. The new signals were scheduled to be activated on Tuesday.

Library hosts storytelling and toy construction sessions

The Neilburg branch of the Lakeland Library sponsored a storytelling session Aug. 9 with Danica Lorer as the guest artist. Children were encouraged to make up stories of their own, using their imaginations.

Arsons in the city

North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services personnel say they have responded to two intentionally-set fires in one week. On Friday they reported that fire crews were sent to the 1400 Block of 103rd Street, responding to a vehicle on fire.
