I haven't donned a uniform in decades. I haven't played a team sport and I left behind the green vest and green plaid skirt when I left private school after Grade 10.

Coaches of the U12 Battlefords Santos travelling team recognized they had a team endowed with athleticism and talent from the first tryouts to after their only practice before the team's first tournament.

"It is the worst kind of hot," claimed Ed, my neighbour next door. Ed's air conditioning has been running both day and night. Ed is dog-tired because if he turns his air conditioning off at night, it is too hot to sleep.

Several Northwest students are among 80 high school graduates with career aspirations in the skilled trades awarded $1,000 from the Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship (SYA) Industry Scholarship Program.

Half way through summer already hoping yours has been a great one. Gardens and yards are looking fantastic with a great preliminary layer of moisture followed by some growing power provided by the heat.

Birthday greetings go out to Paul Kozlowski of North Battleford on the occasion of his 95th birthday. Greetings also to Margarey (Smith, Heaver) Jenny of British Columbia who has reached her 99th year.

Here I am again, still on vacation in Ontario and enjoying the wonderful weather we have been experiencing.

KELLER; Carmen Lawrence Keller Age 70 of Nanaimo, BC passed away suddenly Tuesday July 10, 2012 at Atton?s Lake, SK. Carmen was born in Edmonton AB on August 29th 1941.
