Dear Editor I'm writing in response to "Body parts in the mail a wakeup call?" (News-Optimist, June 6). When I first read this article, I thought Brian Zinchuk was attempting to write a tongue-in-cheek piece about cannibalism.

The monarch butterflies are helping to beautify the landscape once again. They are always plentiful when the lilacs are in bloom, as they are now.

It's time once again for the Dimensions show of fine craft curated by the Saskatchewan Craft Council. Dimensions is on now at the Chapel Gallery. This year's jurors selected the best 33 works from 156 submissions.

One of my treasured childhood mementos is a letter from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's lady-in-waiting. I'd sent Her Majesty a birthday card, never thinking that I'd get any kind of a response.

BUZIAK: In Loving Memory of Sylvia Mary Buziak who was born Jan. 31, 1925 at Whitkow, SK and passed away May 29, 2012 at North Battleford, SK.

The City of North Battleford has passed two bylaws clearing the way for new 94-unit seniors' apartments and condos on the Kinsmen Aquatic Centre site.

The baseball, slo-pitch and fastball diamonds in the Battlefords and area weren't all completely dry and ready for use Monday night after the more than three inches of rain on the weekend.
