B'fords man missing since April 17.

Battlefords RCMP continue to look for a person missing since April 17. James Turgeon was last seen May 7 near the 1000 block of 101st Street in North Battleford. Police have received numerous tips, but have not located him yet.

25th anniversary of centre celebrated

Bingo was played May 30 with Joan Smith and Denise Newton doing the calling. There was a good turnout. The loonie pot was divided between Bev Stewart and Noelle Coulthard. Lunch was provided by Norma Hougan assisted by Jean Stewart.

Heritage church has visitors

The Waseca Community Centre committee met at the community centre for their regular meeting June 6. Discussion of improvements needed at the centre took place. A new refrigerator has been installed recently.

The diamonds were dried enough from the weekend and senior baseball action resumed Tuesday. In North Battleford, the Beavers took a 5-1 lead into the seventh inning.
