Dorothy Kissick attended the wedding dance in Lloydminster for her grandson Quntin Blanchette. Quntin and Chantell were married in Mexico in April. Dale, Debbie, Scotty and Darlene visited their mom Theresa Kennedy.

Dear Editor The culture of any community belongs to those who make it. The vibrancy and diversity of cultural life is a result of the talent, creativity, and dedication that emerges from within the community itself.

Saskatchewan Tourism Week kicked off May 14 with mock cheque presentations in front of North Battleford City Hall and Battleford Town Hall. The cheque, for $21.4 million, represents the total value of tourism for the Battlefords.

Twenty-five members of the Rivers' Edge Quilt Guild met May 4 for the final event off the season. Treasa, from Day's Diner in Meota, served a sumptuous meal that started the events of the evening.

All heck broke loose at council Monday night over a proposed local improvement on 100th Street that has aroused considerable local consternation.
