Battlefords Karate-Do sent 15 club members to Lloydminster for the second of two Genbukai Karate competitions of the season.

Ed, my neighbour next door, was a little late catching up on the news that the age for obtaining Old Age Security is changing from 65 to 67. Ed was on a countdown of eight years to 65 when he would start to get the old age pension.

The spring meeting of the District No. 35 4-H Council was held March 15 in Neilburg. Congratulations to the Maidstone Gully Multiple 4-H Club junior curling team. They represented District No. 35 at the regional competition in Biggar.

The week of April 30 to May 5 has been declared Early Childhood Intervention Week in the province of Saskatchewan. The week has provided ECIP with an opportunity to promote what its role is in the province.

Battlefords RCMP are turning to the public for help in locating Vincent Spyglass, 42. He was last seen hitchhiking in North Battleford April 14. He was picked up in North Battleford and dropped off outside Battleford, towards Lloydminster.

Paynton had their annual spring ratepayers' supper and meeting April 20. The catering committee served up a delicious meal before the meeting and music began.

The senior baseball season is less than a month away and the schedule has been finalized. The North Battleford Beavers will start the season May 22 at home to the Wilkie Brewers.
