A team is defined as a group of people with a full set of complementary skills required to complete a task or a project. Jim Simon and Brian Maunula were working that definition to perfection on the weekend.

Bready School opened in 1960

Bready School was the last elementary school to be built in North Battleford and is now 50 years old. It opened its doors in 1960 with four teachers and a caretaker staffing the school.

Former River Heights employee faces multiple charges

Fifteen charges of theft and fraud have been laid by Battlefords RCMP against a former employee of River Heights Lodge in North Battleford. Charged is Audrey Gallinger, 47, of Battleford.

Cut Knife man killed in rollover

A Cut Knife man is dead following a semi-tanker rollover on a highway near Neilburg, spilling a load of anhydrous ammonia. The man, age 59, was found lying on the roadway by RCMP following the incident early Saturday.

Local teams score big at the Flats

The halfway point of the Battlefords and District Ladies' Fastball League is upon us. It took until the halfway mark of the regular season for the Unity Midgets to suffer their first loss. The Battlefords Midget Bandits won 5-3 in Unity.
