Borden Seniors held their February potluck supper Feb. 23 with 28 out for the meal. The decorated cake was brought by Anna Elliot, and even though there were no members' birthdays for the month everyone enjoyed the cake for dessert.

Ed, my neighbour next door, likens political unrest to a tornado in a hen house. ?When the fox gets in the hen house, the hens get to cackling and flying around in fear and outrage. The fox sets it sights on a tasty dinner.

Concerned residents on Mosquito First Nation expressed their desire for a change of living conditions on the reserve at a public meeting Sunday. The meeting comes in the wake of a Treaty Land Entitlement scandal on the reserve.

Feb. 3, the students from Marsden Jubilee School, took part in Jump Rope for Heart. The children spent the afternoon participating in different skipping activities. The school raised $2,010.15 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Feb.

After being knocked out of the first round of the North Saskatchewan River Hockey League playoffs last season, the Edam 3 Stars are back to their playoff form this time around.

Preparedness was the watchword on the minds of municipal officials and emergency personnel from throughout the region Tuesday. A session on municipal emergency preparedness took place that afternoon at the Don Ross Centre in North Battleford.
