There isn't one member of the Battlefords North Stars who wanted their season to end in Flin Flon.

This week the renovations to Meota School got underway. The building is owned by the Village of Meota and is now going under a transformation to house the village offices.

The Battlefords Pee Wee AA Barons have moved on after winning Round 3 of the provincial playoffs over West Central. They moved on following a 4-3 overtime win Wednesday night in Kindersley. They now take on Saskatoon in the next round.

The season may have come to an abrupt end, but for rookie forward Kyle Hall it will be great season to look back on. Hall was named the SJHL's Rookie of the Month for February.

The recreation board for the RM of Glenside will be holding a potluck supper along with a slide presentation at the Baljennie Community Centre Saturday, March 19 at 5 p.m. A popular photographer from the Battlefords will give a slide presentation.

You know you are doomed when the first thing a medical specialist does after you give him a delicate, but factual, précis of your symptoms, is circle your age on the file he has open on his desk.

If the Battlefords North Stars want to see the Civic Centre again this season they must win in Flin Flon.

Libraries are supposed to be quiet, just not too quiet, but they can in fact be fun places to be. The Maidstone Library held their annual meeting in February with board members and a guest from headquarters in North Battleford.

This past weekend Meota was buzzing, snarling and roaring with the sound of the many snowmobiles that converged to take part in the Meota and District Recreation Association's annual snowmobile rally.

Property damage has been piling up over the past few days, but there have been reports of injuries. Sunday at about 4:15 a.m. a truck collided with a light pole.
