Pierre April has set his sights upon becoming the next mayor of Muenster.Born and raised in Saskatchewan, April lived and worked for a number of years in B.C. and Alberta before coming back to the province of his birth.

Zita Elizabeth Maier July 19, 1936 - September 28, 2012 The family of Zita Maier of Humboldt, SK, is saddened to announce her passing on Friday, September 28, 2012, at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, SK, at the age of 76 years.

He wants to make a difference in his home community.

He is looking forward to continuing to improve the city.Rob Muench, who has lived in Humboldt for 45 years, is seeking re-election in the October 24 Humboldt City Council election.

One three-year term on the village of Muenster's council only served to whet the appetite of Jim Wasserman. He is among five candidates vying for one of four counci positions in the October 24 municipal elections.

It is a position he would be honoured to fill. Larry Sunderland has entered the Humboldt City Council race.

He wants Humboldt to be a place more people want to visit and live. Marc Dredhart, who has lived in Humboldt for just over two years, will be one of the names on the October 24 City Council ballot.

Seeking a third term on council in the village of Muenster is Bob Bergermann.Bergermann has lived in Muenster for close to 20 years and is still farming on land west of Muenster.

She is a leader in the community.Linda Mattock, who moved to Humboldt in 2001, has put her name forward for Humboldt City Council. The election will be held on October 24.

He's been heavily involved in the community and would like to continue to serve. Larry Jorgenson has lived in Humboldt since 1994 and has always been community-oriented.
