Towns in the Humboldt region are, for the most part, struggling to find enough people to fill their councils this fall.

October 24 will see residents of only five villages in the Humboldt district heading to the polls to elect a new mayor and/or councillors.Those villages are Muenster, Meacham, Jansen, Pilger and Spalding.
