The president of the Humboldt Co-operative Association Limited (the Co-op) reported a year of excellent growth in 2011 at its annual meeting, May 1.

It was an unexpected honour. Jeff Burton is the new local artist at the Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery. His display of photographs will be up until the end of June.

SOKOL: With saddened hearts the family of Bernice Anna Sokol announce her death in Kelowna, B.C. on March 16, 2012. She was born at home on May 8, 1915 and was raised on the family farm north of Melfort, Saskatchewan.

Humboldt's hockey history is now open for exploration. The Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery (HDMG) opened their Humboldt Area Hockey History exhibit last week, in honour of the community hosting the RBC Cup next week.

Letters. Photographs. And even a lock of hair. These small items of great historic value to the Humboldt region were recently donated by the Weldon family to the Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery.

It was a meeting of the minds that bridged the generation gap.
