TISDALE — A master of illusion who has made plenty of television appearance is coming to perform in Tisdale. Magician Chris Funk will be coming to Tisdale on Sunday, Feb. 2, hosted by the Tisdale Arts Council.

ARBORFIELD — The Tisdale RCMP and Carrot River RCMP have recovered stolen items at an Arborfield property. The Tisdale RCMP, who led the investigation, received a report of stolen snowmobiles as a result of two break and enters.

HUMBOLDT — A new annual event aims to allow Humboldt Collegiate’s visual arts students to show off their hard work to the public. The high school held its inaugural art coffee house on Jan. 23.

MELFORT— Patches the cat isn’t your usual resident at Parkland Place’s Memory Care house, but a beloved one. Memory Care house is a home for residents with memory issues, such as dementia or alzheimer’s disease.

LAKE LENORE — A 9.21-pound northern pike was the lucky winner at this year’s Lake Lenore Lions Ice Fishing Derby. As a result of the catch, Steve Taylor took home around $5,828 on Jan. 18.

MELFORT — Randy Ariss’ position as the school board representative for Melfort will be filled by Luke Perkins until the new school board election in November.
