Garage sale sign rules limit signs to community boards

HUMBOLDT — A redesign of a problem intersection has been put on the back burner due to higher than expected costs. The city was hoping work on realigning the intersection of Main Street and Fifth Avenue could be done for around $700,000.

EAST CENTRAL — Due to the hot, dry weather, a number of communities have put out fire bans. According to the provincial government, there are fire bans in Wakaw, Vonda, Wadena, Kelvington, Jansen, Meacham, Naicam and Manitou Beach.

Nipawin increasing contribution to pool renovations by almost $248,000
NIPAWIN — Nipawin council voted to increase its contribution for the Pool @ Central Park’s renovations by almost $248,000 after running into higher than expected costs. The town originally provided $496,000.
