HUMBOLDT — Bantam AA Bronco Ty Sundholm was sitting in class in Lanigan when his phone buzzing last Friday.

HUMBOLDT — In regard to the 2019 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Bantam Draft, the Humboldt Broncos believe good things come in fives. The squad picked five players last Friday at the event in Nipawin.

NIPAWIN — The average Nipawin resident, with a property with a taxable value of $111,700, will pay around $1,906 in municipal taxes, an increase of around $38. The tax rates for 2019 were set by Nipawin council at their May 27 meeting.

TISDALE — The U16 Tisdale Riverdogs won gold at the Hustler Tournament in Saskatoon. “The U16 Tisdale Riverdogs are on fire,” said Lori Kidney, the team’s spokesperson.

EAST CENTRAL — Cumberland College saw off another year of graduates with their own hopes and dreams. Melfort had about 58 graduates, Tisdale had about 30 grads and Nipawin had about 39.
