After 21 years as a teacher and school administrator, and a further decade as a superintendent in the Living Sky School Division central office, Brian Quinn is retiring.

Saturday, Shirley and Bruce James took their moms, Gertie James and Tillie Linkert, for dinner and a drive around Lloydminster. It was very much enjoyed. Our sympathy to the Mitchell family on the passing of Duncan Mitchell this week.

The Borden Museum invites children of any age to come out and play games that children used to play - such as checkers, snakes and ladders, crokinole, etc.

The Battlefords Art Club has a long history of supporting visual arts in the community. It promotes exhibits of local work with the aim of encouraging its members in developing their potential for creating satisfying artwork in any medium.

Rider season is in full swing love the commanding season-opener win. You know Unity is bleeding green and cheering hard.

What a beautiful day for the Village of Ruddell's 110th annual July 1 picnic. Over 80 people attended. They were entertained with horse rides from Tom Pain with his Clydesdale horses; not only the children were enjoying the rides, so were the adults.

Mowing has been done at the Meota Cemetery before the funeral held for Dr. Iain Weston, on June 24. The community would like to express their appreciation for those responsible, as it is a big job.

H. Hardcastle School has sent forth another crop of young adults into the world. The festivities began June 25 with an interdenominational church service held at the Full Gospel Assembly in Edam.

This week, the Summer School for the Solo Voice is underway in North Battleford. It's a unique summer school that provides not only education but performance opportunities for participants as well as recitals open to the public.

The last dismissal bell has run, the cap and gowns are put away and the trailers are out of hibernation and on the road. School is out, graduation is over and summer is on.
