League celebrates 50th Anniversary

St. Vital Catholic Women's League will celebrate their 50th anniversary Nov. 16. The program will begin at 5 p.m. with the Holy Eucharist celebrated by Bishop Albert Thévenot. This will be followed by a banquet at 6:45 p.m.

A speedy recovery is wished to Robert Greer, as he had surgery done on his knee in a Saskatoon hospital. He spent a week recovering with his daughter Christine Greer at Lloydminster and now he is back home.

Local craftsman, Geordie Smith, presented a baby rattle to Mayor Ian Hamilton Wednesday. Hamilton will send it to Buckingham Palace. In 1982 Smith was attending the College in Brockville, Ont.

The Reigning Riders got together at Brian and Darcy Yasieniuks' ranch Oct. 6 for another fun day. Enbridge and 4-H Canada put on a contest where members get together and construct their vision of where 4-H is headed in the future.

Couple marks 70th anniversary

Oct. 9 - Rose Danychuk is happy to report the birth of her sixth great-grandchild, Olivia Summer Dorosh, a sister for two-year-old Gaven. The proud parents are Brett and Kelly Dorosh of Biggar. Everyone is doing very well. Congratulations everyone.
